Wearing plaid pants from Mcleodganj, white tank from United Colors of Benetton, black blazer tailored, black cutout ankle shoes from Moss Petrova for Target, all (cough stolen cough) borrowed from my fabulous friend, Trillian of Split Ends and Sob Stories and styled by me.
She's also taking my pictures from here on (she's very modestly printed her name on all the pics) so I give her permission to gloat obsessively.
(DKNY Erin lace up shoes)
I'm wearing a blazer but am also simultaneously mourning the depressing fact that summer just won't go away! Sucks living in a tropical country.
Also, thanks so much to Style Sample Magazine and Jenny of Jenny's Open Closet for featuring my interview on the website. You can check it out here.
A few fabulous street style shots for your benefit-

Does this look get any more perfect? Let me count the ways I love this: the SICK exaggerated ankle boots, the semi crazy headpiece and the sinful blouse. Yep, my cue to covet obsessively.
The shoes! Oh, the shoes!

Exaggerated shoulders win everytime. As does the yellow+electric blue combo which I can just hope to pull off someday.

My search for the the perfect blazer continues (so far I have a brown suede I need to get fitted properly) and so this is the equivalent for blazer orgasming right here.

SHE is clearly a devotee of the "I know I have fab legs and I like to show em'" school. Plus, those shoes are so incredibly Rodarte-esque, I am reduced to a pitiable drooling pile.

Another picture from before the LV show in Paris. The military jacket and red bandage skirt combo are calling out to me. Warrants an impulsive trip to shopbop, yes?

Anybody got any tips on the blazer search, you know where to comment.
I am just beginning to embrace Etsy and any any suggestions of vintage sellers would be totally welcome.
That said, going to go study now. Yeah-huh you got that. The times, they are a changing.

'Styled by me' my ass.
You would never had tried on my plaid pants if I hadn't made you.
Also, the shoes are DKNY Erins, and since they're my only article of clothing not from a flea market, I'd like a mention.
AND AND AND the shoes in the first outfit are the Mossimo Petrova gladiators for Target.
Also, you look so shmazz in the third picture from the top. The blazer looks so much better on you than it does on me. Still doesn't mean I'll let you keep it, though.
And I can't find the Nine West Oxfords anywhere on the net. Link me?
And ANOTHER thing - Watermark's not my fault. You know what a nazi dad can be about work. Remember that one time he wouldn't let me take my pictures for the SCHOOL exhibition because he's such a paranoid spazzer?!
Anyway,
xx,
T
I love the Carlton London shoes!!
Lucky you! I want someone to take my pictures!
Hello friend. I am your partner in the perfect blazer hunt. It's endless. Keep me posted on any developments.
I know the shoes are the focus, but I adore the plaid pants. I'm going to go look for some today! Great blog.

I love how you make the classic blazer more fun with plaid pants. And I love the street style shots - I agree, big shoulder pads are ALWAYS a winner! (Hah, how cheesy..)
Thanks so much for stopping by!

it's all about the shoes! love the blazer, love the shoes...love it all!
Great pants! And the first pair of shoes - even if they aren't yours ;)
I fully support borrowing. haha
ebay should be a good place? but i never had much 'luck' there. it's not my style to trawl the site and watch it like a hawk if sellers go by the bidding system. etsy is good in that i can narrow my search and simply buy if the price is right.
Lovely outfit and gorgeous shoes!
I love all the street-style pictures you chose. I love your blog, by the way!

Hey there. I hope this finds you doing well. I also hope you've had a great weekend so far. Take care. Have a nice week. Cheers!
What a great combo. I understand that someone tailored the jacket for you. That is a great idea. I can not find a blazer that fits me well so maybe I order a custom one. I really like all the shoe proposals and all work well with the same outfit.

My mom honestly just read these comments over my shoulder and went off singing about how beautiful her house is, and how I ought to be thin like Arushi so I look good in front of it.

Hello there, I just found you in my comments. Thank you so much for visiting my site. You look amazing, I've been looking for a blazer for THE LONGEST TIME, but can't seem to find one that I love.
I'm following you now. Take care bye
I love your trousers. They look reall different to a lot of the trousers you usually see around. And loving the DKNY Lace up shoes.
You are SO pretty! Love the plaid pants.
xo, Becs
love those plaid pants:-)
Lovely outfit, love the shoes! =)
Cute shoes! I love the cyan colored cape in the last streetstyle image and those Maison Michel inspired headpieces are everywhere at the moment (well, at least in stores... no one actually wears them out on the streets). Premium high-street stores tend to have pretty good blazers. Theory and Reiss have really well-made and well-tailored ones. Mango and Zara have plenty as well, but the quality sucks and blazers are something you'll want to invest a bit of money in.
LOVE your pants and that blazer!!! Great inspiration pics too! :)
Hey Girl,
thanks for stepping by, I hope you going to do it a lot, and give your opinions.
Anyways! I like your blog! You're style is so cute thow, I adore your shoes truly. I'm searchin kinda shoes like that too.
lotsaa love

Arushi,
You've now inspired me to get a blazer of my own! Fab pics :)
And I read your interview...it's so true, there really aren't a lot of Indian fashion bloggers around but with gals like you I can see that all changing :D
I can see you going places in the realms of fashion!
