In my last post, I freaked and basically salivated over one of the dresses Motel sent me.  Today, I'm going to introduce to you the other one.

Wearing: Motel Jean dress (simple line), Steve Madden Toppazz red pumps, Lena Erziak Edward calfskin bag, embellished headband from...somewhere, 1986 oversize white sunglasses, vintage ring, vintage denim shirt.

This dress is great, because it seamlessly goes from day to night. By slightly sprucing up the accessories, you can change the whole outfit, making it more night appropriate. ps- it is absolutely impossible for this dress to be anything but flattering. Jersey for the win, eh (hiiiii, Halston!) ? The stunning printed georgette vest on the top is monochrome; a key trend this season. << key trend? I sound kind of douchey.

Love the magnetic closure and contrast stitching on this bag just kind of add to the sheer fabulosity of this bag.  The gorgeous maroon calfskin makes me feel very Uptown Girl and I absolutely ADORE the bigass bow.

I picked these Steve Madden beauties (I KNOW, I KNOW. STOP JUDGING) at Singapore because a) they were 10% off b) I reallyreallyreally needed red pumps and c) they have a RUFFLE, you guys.

PS- Please check my sidebar for the new HungryI.org picture.

PPS- I'm redoing my entire blogroll so anyone who was on before and got left out, below, comments! xx

Let the reigns go loose

Wearing: Motel Camilla dress in Parrot print, ASOS Rachel Bilson inspired sequined boyfriend slouch blazer,  Kazo waist belt, United Nude Block pump-Hi neon green shoes

Motel actually contacted me a while back and displaying an acute sense of generosity, sent over some stuff. And I nearly imploded and it was messy but that story is for never another time.  Anyhooo... Motel has some amazing stuff but y'all know that if you've ever step foot in Topshop.

I am truly, madly, deeply (ha, lame pop culture reference alert) in L-O-V-E with this dress just because it's so summer appropriate! The print is tropical and in bright hues that pop without being garish. Obviously, it has Motel's signature bodycon fit and a little unique twist, in this case, the straps. The cotton jersey is sleek and thin and doesn't make you sweat like a freakin pig (even though I am strangely amphibian-esque and barely ever sweat, even though I live in India). I tucked this into a tutu mini the other day and people loved it, I just kind of shortened it by tucking it in at the bottom so it wouldn't peek out oddly through the bottom of the skirt.
A

I added this ASOS jacket because sequins add a slightl panache to an otherwise basic outfit and the heels, well, because they're gorgeous. I wore it without the jacket (because it's sweltering outside), adding instead this Kazo belt.

You can head on over to Motel to check out more of their badass pieces. I have more coming up soon!

The super cute, newly launched store, Fifty Dollar Vintage is offering an extremely generous 15% to all FabBlab readers. Just type in the code "FABBLAB" while purchasing. Happy shopping!

PS- The i-D SS issue IS TO DIE FOR. More on that coming soon as well.

PPS- The winner of the Socktheory giveaway ISSSS *DRUM ROLLL*  Wendy Brandes !

Send me your email and I'll be contacting you shortly :)

PPPS- Beezag.com, a fabulous website that basically does everything for you. It matches you up to products you like, shows you commercials on them and offers you amazing discounts on items you'd want to snag! For the summer, they've done a rad shoot with one of the hottest new up and coming designers, Stud Muffin. The brains behind the label are two girls : Chelsea Van Houten and Eleni Meneve from, well, Chelsea and the website has a video that shows them working at their studio and the girls also give us some fashion tips! The label specializes and prides itself on turning vintage pieces into one-of-a-kind badass goods, complete with, yes you guessed it, studs.

Says designer Chelsea, " Stud Muffin is a company where young girls and guys can buy fun simple items, along with one-of-a-kind vintage clothing and jewelery pieces, and be the only ones to have them."

As you all know I am OBSESSED, ADDICTED, I AM IT'S HUMBLE SERVANT  love studs, this label is like a fucking mecca of things I need to buy. So now Beezag is also running a kickass competition;  viewers who watch the video get the opportunity of winning a customized Stud Muffin I <3 NY (oh yes, we do) totes valued at a $100! WOOT WOOT.

So you guys had better head over to Beezag.com and sign up and watch the video AND WINNN and give your bag to me. Ha, jk. Maybe *cryptic expression* Okay, I kid, I kid. Hurry on over because it ends on Friday and if you're too late, just sign up anyway and win a shitload of stuff, yeah?

Kay.

Giveaways are for cool kids.

WELL, WELL, WELL. Look who it is. It is I, the prodigal, worldly traveler, of course. I kid, I kid. I'm back, BITCHEZ. So what's been up? I can't believe I totally skipped past CFDA lazing round pools and engaging in other such leisurely but regardless, fruitless activities. I even bought me some Topshop, Steve Madden (I know, I know), etc etc. Speaking of Topshop, the words "WHAT THE HELL KATE, YOU JUST STABBED ME IN THE HEART AND PROCEEDED TO CUT SLIVERS OF IT AND EAT WITH YOUR SCONES" come to mind when you enter ecstatically and head over to the Kate Moss collection aisle. You're greedily pulling things out, slightly disappointed but sure that something gush worthy will come along, only to be left confused as to what Kate was thinking. Wow, white eyelet dress for summer, GROUNDBREAKING. And you know, if her Longchamp collection was like increds, I could've maybe cut her some slack but it wasn't. It was boring. Has Kate lost her touch?

Onto less exciting news, I'm not a happy traveler. I hate planes because they're cramped and annoying old men keep shoving their briefcases into my feet. How I wish I could either a) fly (because hello, who doesn't?) or b) be rich and insufferable and reserve the entire first class cabin. Yep. So anyway, I decided to watch Coco Avant Chanel because I hadn't before and could feel Coco stirring in her grave because you know, she OBVIOUSLY cares what a 15 year old girl from New Delhi thinks about her psuedo biographical movie, psh. So I did. And it was honestly, amazing. I DID cry several times because my 5 years of middle school French were obviously in vain because the only thing I could understand was "pantalon" and "je m'apelle Gabrielle". But Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel changed fashion forever when she dropped her corsets for a pair of tweed pants and skipped the bourgeoisie feathers for a basic black hat. She created magic with tweed and pearls and black, black, black. She didn't give a rat's ass whether people thought it was inappropriate for a woman to work or whether she was not feminine. She was just too fucking badass.

Speaking of cool kids, I am a self-professed one (modesty thy name is Arushi) and so I'm going to do a little giveaway right here.

Over the knee socks are basically super cute and unless you have thunder thighs, they are also extremely flattering as they tend to elongate the legs. And you all know of my love for tux jackets. So I was basically FLIPPING when I saw these adorable tuxedo knee highs. And when Morgan from SOCKTHEORY offered to give a pair away to one of you luckyass kids, I was like "NO BUT I WANT ONE, HELLO". So, well, I bought a pair. More on that coming soon. This pair is for you guys to snag. They actually have little buttons a bow. AWW.

The Games that Play Us

Question: How does a human who does not garb (yes, garb) herself/himself in twigs and leaves manage to pack for 10 days in a weight limit of 15 kgs?

Answer: He/she hijacks the plane, skillfully kills the pilot and takes over the entire damn flight, filling it with SHOOEES. MUAHAHAHAHAHAH!

...No, not really. I've finally managed to cram the majority of my things in a teeny little bag. I have to live like a tribal for a few days. But no worries because I'm going to Singapore and Malaysia aka the land of Raoul, Topshop, et all. HAPPY TIMES.

Wearing: FCUK printed top with random gold beading on the sleeves and throughout, Forever New boyfriend blazer, maSh NY liquorice leggings, Tuleste Market rosette bracelet in gold, Maxstudio IKRAM ankle boots. , Maxstudio Zyle Retro sunglasses, Lena Erziak zipper bag.

As you might know if you follow me on Twitter, I recently started blogging for FCUK India. I nearly crushed some poor girl to pull this top off the hanger because hello, what's awesomer than something that's printed, studded and slightly oversized? Gouri over at FCUK very generously sent me a couple of vouchers to knock myself out and an invite to their Linking Road launch in Mumbai. Thanks so much, G! I have a feeling I'll be living in this one.

This FN blazer wasn't actually a boyfriend one, btdubs. It's actually a size 12 in skinny fit. And it's so comfy, I'm going to wear it on the plane owing to the fact that here in Delhi, currently, my pastimes are generally melting into puddles at any given moment of the day (think 50 degree Celsius weather+dust storms+humidity). I mean, we're talking seriously mind numbing, soul quenching bigass WAVES of heat.

Tuleste Market has the most gorgeous jewelry. Satu (who is FABULOUS fyi) shot me an email a while back and asked me to take a look at the Rosette bracelet and the petal necklace (both favorites of Rihanna) from their flora inspired collection causing me to feel extremely cool and act like a douche lord. I was all like "OOH you want to send me things *happy dance*" and they were wondering why the fuck they thought to choose a person who quite obviously needed to be shown the way to the friggin loony bin. Eh.

Let me tell you a little story:
I walk into my house after a LONG day, yell at my brother to get me a glass of chilled water only to be greeted by a shoe being thrown on my ass and head straight to throw my face in the bed, with the objective of staying there till I died. UNTIL, the doorbell rings. The horror.  Who dare disturb my air conditioner and I? Which twat had come ringing the bell like a fucking wanker in the middle of the fucking evening which is evidently the fucking time people need a fucking break to fucking sleep?! Maybe it's the stupid neighbors, come to complain about loud music or some such bs. I yell profanity and proceed to stick my finger out in the air and sleep some more. Bell continues to ring, my brother continues to antagonize. Grudgingly, I pick my lazy ass off of the comforter and head to the door, practically snarling by now (i am NOT exaggerating). There stands a nice man in a fedex cap holding a package. Well, hello Santa. I grab the package, expecting something along the lines of some random jersey shirt. I go back and settle on the comforter and tear up the package like a rhinoceros past his mealtime (on a side note, what do those big guys inhale?) and take out a lime green box. It says "MAXSTUDIO.COM...THE IKRAM". Funky name, I remember thinking. Ikram Khosla. Got a ring to, dontcha think? Anywho. I open it and BAM! HARK, THE HERALD ANGELS SING! lalalalala. Okay, I exaggerate. But it was a pure moment, between the shoes and I. One I shall cherish until the next worship-worthy pair comes trotting along, hopefully soon at a little place I like to call Singapore alias a land full of cute stores I haven't yet ravaged explored. And it WILL be worship worthy, let me tell ya. I've got the EYE. ... This pair of shoes is giving me a big head and catapulting me to asswipe status. My sincere apologies. I wear the shoes with a cami and pajamas and my larger than life (literally) sunglasses and go out to scare the neighbors. Everyone's happy.

The End.

These sunglasses are rad, yeah? They tortoiseshell which is abundantly cool AND they're warfarer style and totally geek chic. And this bag is from Lena Erziak's Fall collection. It's a slight shift from their usual preppy chic designs. It's kind of casual but also pretty damn badass because I basically can take it around anywhere, worn with anything. It's  totally increds cuz it's HUGE so it's perfect for toting to the internship or, say, going to the mall and trying to stuff the shit you shoplift into it (I KID, I KID), etc etc. You get the gist.

Aight, I'm off. I have some major Skins and Glee watching to do.

PS- YOU GUYS YOU GUYS YOU GUYS I'm on Bloglovin FINALLY. Late bloomer, fo sho. The cute little Eiffel Tower above that says "Bloglovin" at the top of my sidebar. You can follow me if you fancy :D Teehee. Kay, bye.
