just epiphanies

Crop top // Chicwish (similar here
Circle skirt // American Apparel (similar here
Bag // Walter Baker
Rings + cuff // Tiffany Kunz jewelry

A lot of self loathing followed the purchase of this skirt. I really don't want to (and haven't in the past) support American Apparel. Their ads are unbelievably sexist and the behavior of their CEO doesn't stray too far. But sometimes one breaks. It can be tough/tricky on a college kid's budget. Most of your options are restricted to fast fashion, high street garbage, no matter how much you want to support independent (and sometimes local) designers, production and economy. And no matter how much you don't want to support major corporations that churn out replicas of original work, follow shoddy ethical practices and are pretty repulsive in general, you just can't drop the dollars required for the good stuff. Because in the battle between circle skirts and tuition/food/shelter, the latter win.

On another note, I'm working on a really fun Instagram takeover project with Miista. They make these wonders of shoes. You know how I love my shoes to have the galaxy imprinted on them.

Those boots are killer! I love what you said about American Apparel, as I'm in the same boat - I hate their practices but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

I try to avoid American Apparel as much as possible, their ads are just atrociously sexist. But like you said, sometimes one breaks, I haven't bought anything there for a couple of years and I'm hoping to keep it that way.
I love your shoes by the way, they're so original.
